Spot on

So last week, as kind of a joke Brooke and I were at Target shopping and decided to apply for the open positions. Does this confuse you? It should. Yes I have a degree... no I am not certified in PA to teach thus... a part/full time job until I am certified. In comes Target. Less then 12 hours after applying I get a call from Amy that they would like me to come in next week (today). So got all pretty (first time in a few weeks) and drove the 30 minutes or so to Washington. Took the additional survey pre-interview, had my first interview, second interview, and hiring process all in an hour. Yes you read that right, I got hired in a hour. Granted would a chain retail store really not hire a college graduate?! Thus led to me getting a drug test at lunch, eating with my husband (the two locations were in the same town), then driving for an hour to get home. No it shouldn't have taken an hour but goodness knows how many wrong turns I took, and yes I had the GPS on. Next week I'll start training. After 5 years of college and a year of teaching... I take a pay cut. Didn't think an educator could ever say that huh? I am sure I'll be supplementing this income with substitute pay soon. However that means in the next week I must get a physical, FBI finger prints, and another drug test done... running me oh... I bet $200, give or take on the physical. Here's hoping this doesn't come to bite me in the butt!

P.S. oh yeah... I'll be working photo lab/cashier and possiably cross training as full cashier/ bakery/food express/etc.
