Alright... I noticed about three weeks ago I was getting close to my 100th post. Now... I couldn't come up with anything cool like a give away since I only have like 3 followers... so I waited until something hit me that would be "worthy" of a 100th post... 2 weeks later and tons of projects gone by I figured I might as well suck it up and post or I'll never get it out there! So... I decided to post my couch renovation.
This is a picture of the couch before. We have had this couch for less then two years. The back pillows had lost all of the little fluff they had to them. It was a very comfy couch to sleep and relax on, but to sit up and be comfy was a different story. We decided that a simple re-stuffing of the pillows was all that was needed. So off we went.
We went to Joann's and got 8 Bags of stuffing. I had 7 large pillows to stuff and figured about 1 bag each. Well... it ended up only taking about 1/2 a bag for each pillow to be busting at the seems so I ended up with a lot of extra. Lucky for me I have new sofa's up stairs that need pillows too!
I ripped open the visible seem, stuffed the pillows and hand sewed them shut in two evenings. the first pillow by far took the longest at about 30 minutes. By the end pillow I think they took me about 5 minutes each.
Sadly I don't have any finished picture apparently.... and I would go take one now... but the husband is sitting on the couch playing games and I don't want to take 5 or 6 pictures and start bugging him. Not needed in my opinion. So.. you'll have to wait for the end result. I will say that the sofa can now be sat on for long periods of time with out having to readjust and fluff the backing 100 times an hour.
